Is JaniQuest a franchise? Definitely not. We are a service, and being a member does not constitute a partnership, franchise or joint venture of any kind. You always retain total independence.
What does a membership cost? The Gold Membership (the 210-page book, the training DVD and the Documents CD) and member setup is $175. This gives you everything we offer, and your first month's membership is free. You save $169 with the Gold Membership.
Go to the "Buy Now" page to see the options we offer.
The monthly membership is only $20.00 per month (that's just 66 cents a day), and it includes:
- Enrollment as a JaniQuest Gold Member, which gives you full rights to use the JaniQuest name and logo in all of your advertising and marketing materials. And use of the name and logo is totally optional. You always retain complete control and independence.
- Your company listed in our “Find a Contractor” website, where office managers, purchasers, building managers and owners can find your company’s information and contact you for bids.
- Password-protected membership to the Members-Only website, where you can interact with other members on the Community Forum, access the Bidding Database, get downloads, get a new sales postcard every month, get a new monthly Tax Tip, get free updates of the book, and more.
What are the main benefits of the JaniQuest System?
When we designed the system we targeted the main challenges that many janitorial companies face:
- Marketing and Presenting a Professional Image: Cleaning a building is the easy part, but getting your name “out there” and to have it remembered is the hard part. In fact, we've found that the image has to be there first, in order for the higher-profit cleaning opportunities to happen. Our professionally designed name, logo, websites and marketing materials take your company’s image to the next level. This image allows to you to take a better “posture”, or position, when contacting and selling, and we have found that this elevated posture actually lets you price your services higher and still get the contract in many cases.
- Bidding: If you bid too high, you don’t get the job, but if you bid too low, you might not make a decent profit. JaniQuest’s bidding systems enable you to put together all of the information necessary to arrive at competitive, profitable quotes. Combine this experience with the online Bidding Benchmark Database and suddenly bidding is much easier and more accurate.
- Finding and Retaining the Best Employees: Our hiring process produces excellent, long-term employees. Our entire screening, application, and hiring processes are described in detail. Plus you get our 20-page employee handbook and all of our employment forms.
- Time Challenges: Probably the biggest challenge for business owners is to find the time to develop the various systems within the business, experience the “learning curve” of each system (which often consists of making expensive and time-consuming mistakes and refining the process over and over until it finally works), and running the day-to-day operations. The fact that you can plug into our systems means that you don’t have to “invent your own wheel”. We can save you thousands of hours of development time by providing marketing systems, bidding systems, employee systems, forms, documents, etc.
- “Going it Alone”: Our Members Only website features a Community Forum where you can give and get opinions from other Members. We have found that this sharing of knowledge and experience with others is an invaluable resource, and, after all, “going beyond our own experience” is what JaniQuest is all about. Just by reading the book and participating in the online Forum, you can multiply your experience in this business many times over in just a fraction of the time it would take for you to learn it yourself through trial and error.
- What's the old saying - "If you only learn by personal experience, you may never graduate"!
What if I want to cancel my membership? Just drop us a letter or an email. All billing for the monthly service would stop immediately. There are no long-term commitments.
All we would ask is that you stop using the JaniQuest name and logo within 90 days.
Do I have to present my company as a JaniQuest member? While we feel it will definitely be to your benefit to do so, the answer is no, you can be a member and let JaniQuest run “in the background” of your business. You would still be able to take advantage of the book, the DVD, the members-only website, and the “Find a Contractor” website. But if you don’t want to use the JaniQuest name and logo in your advertising and marketing materials, for instance, that’s up to you.
Is there a contract? Yes, but it's pretty simple, and it can be cancelled at any time if you ever decide to cancel your membership. Most of it deals with making sure that all parties understand that your relationship with JaniQuest is not a franchise or partnership of any kind, and that we won't be held liable if a Member accidentally does something harmful to a customer's building. Here is a link to the contract - after you purchase the package, we have you sign it and return to us.
Are there any requirements I have to meet? There’s just one - when you prepare a contract for a new account, you must identify your company as an independent contractor, as in "ABC Building Maintenance, an Independent Contractor". That’s it.
What else is JaniQuest working on? While we can’t guarantee when more features will be offered, new projects we are working on include:
- An online bidding program that will enable you to input your bid numbers such as square feet, population, number of restrooms, types of floors, frequencies, etc, and come up with a very accurate quote. This program will be available only to JaniQuest Members.
- An easy-to-use online contact manager, for scheduling phone calls, emails, mailing sales letters, brochures, printing address labels, etc.
- A toll-free, 800-number employee call-in and call-out program with Caller ID, time stamp, voicemail and “no-show” notification that would call you or your managers if an employee didn’t call in from his building within a certain timeframe, and it would also keep track of total hours and allow you to print reports.
